HOCHTIEF Projektentwicklung has sold an office building with a gross floor area of around 8,400 m²: HUK-COBURG acquired the building on Gruga Carree in Essen-Rüttenscheid which was completed at the beginning of 2012. It was agreed that the purchase price would not be disclosed.
The entire office building at Luxemburger Strasse 3 is to be used by AtoS as its headquarters for Germany and CEMA. To this end, the international IT service provider’s employees moved together here from various locations.
The five-story building contains four office levels. A conference zone, reception and lounge area and an in-house restaurant are housed on the ground floor.
The lot of around 6,000 m² has around 360 parking spaces, 326 of which are in the in-house underground parking garage, and there is also a covered area for around 50 bicycles.
The property has received silver precertification from the German Sustainable Building Council. Resource-conserving features include the so-called 'energy floor' with which the rooms are climatized all year round.
