Lehigh Valley lifestyle expansion to open beginning this month (US)

Simon Property Group, Inc. and Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (PREIT) have announced further details on the Grand Opening of the lifestyle expansion at Lehigh Valley Mall in Whitehall, Pennsylvania, and the renovations to the existing mall. Exciting new retailers will open their doors from the end of August through October with the Grand Opening scheduled for October 26-October 28. The redevelopment efforts are being managed by Kravco Simon Company, the property manager.
There is a great collection of new retailers coming to the Lehigh Valley Mall including: Barnes & Noble, Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Ann Taylor, Ann Taylor Loft, Sephora, Coach, White HouseIBlack Market, Chico's, Soma, Coldwater Creek, J. Crew, Apple and Yankee Candle. New food options including Bravo, Bonefish Grill and Cold Stone Creamery are also part of the expansion.
Coldwater Creek is scheduled to open in the new lifestyle portion of Lehigh Valley Mall on August 30th.
The new lifestyle expansion is located between JCPenney and Macy's at Lehigh Valley Mall, currently a 1,040,000-ft² regional mall located in Whitehall at the intersection of U.S. Route 22 and MacArthur Road.
Shoppers will also enjoy the many upgrades to the existing mall. The entire property will benefit from new lighting and fresh paint. Additional improvements include remodeled mall entrances, a new skylight, new escalators, renovated restrooms with new fixtures and tile, and new feature elements in the mall's center court area. This work is underway and scheduled to be completed in early 2008.
"The combination of adding world-class retail and completing these renovations will preserve Lehigh Valley Mall as the community's retail flagship," said Mark Gray vice president of development at Simon.
