SkyTower will be the tallest building in Bucharest on completion.
"This project is progressing well. The SkyTower just grows and grows,” commented Mark Neurauter, Managing Director and CEO of Raiffeisen evolution.
SkyTower: reaches 100 meter mark
Construction on the SkyTower has been going on steadily from May 2011. Since then the tallest building in Bucharest has been growing by about one floor per week. The 100 m mark was reached just a few days ago. The SkyTower will reach a total height of 137 m.
The future tenants, Raiffeisen Bank Romania, will occupy seven floors of the tower and the entire FCC Office. All the remaining floors in the office tower will be leased by RPHI.
"As a future landmark of the Rumanian capital the interest in the SkyTower is huge,” said Gabriele Deffner, Head of Marketing and Asset Management for RPHI.
“Compared to the pace of construction, there is also a great deal of interest in the rental space still available. When it comes to the presentation your own business the SkyTower is like no other building."
"We are working here as a turnkey contractor," added Mark Neurauter: "The whole district development was initially designed for international investors. The fact that one of the investors is from our own corporate ranks, was a happy coincidence. "
The smaller FCC Office, directly connected to the SkyTower comprises six floors. At the end of April the topping-out ceremony was celebrated.
Pre-approved Gold in sustainability from ÖGNI
There is also good news to report on the Raiffeisen evolution Promenada retail project. The project team was awarded a pre-approved Gold Certificate on May 10, 2012 by Philipp Kaufmann, President of the Austrian Society for Sustainable Homes (ÖGNI).
"This is our first gold certificate to ÖGNI/DGNB standards,” declared joint CEO of Raiffeisen evolution Gerald Beck MRICS. "Following on from two silver certificates, this is the first gold award for Raiffeisen evolution."
"I'm very pleased to award the Raiffeisen evolution team with its first pre-approved gold certificate for a shopping center,” commented Philipp Kaufmann, president of ÖGNI.
This is also the first certificate to be awarded by ÖGNI for a project in Romania. The Promenada shopping and leisure center will be completed in late 2013 and will accommodate about 120 shops. About 50% of the space has already been leased to well-known international retailers.
